Candle Care

Before Every Burn, trim the wick to ¼ inch.

A properly trimmed wick creates a cleaner, steadier flame while minimizing soot, mushrooming, and excessive flickering. Remove any trimmed wick debris before lighting.

The First Burn Matters Most

Allow your candle to burn long enough for the melted wax to reach the edges of the vessel during the first burn. This helps establish an even wax memory and reduces the chance of tunneling throughout the life of the candle.

For best results, burn your candle for 2–4 hours at a time. Avoid burning for more than 4 hours in a single session.

While Burning

Always burn your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep the candle away from drafts, ceiling fans, open windows, and air vents, as moving air can cause uneven burning, smoking, or excessive flickering. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, curtains, paper, and other flammable materials. Never move or touch the vessel while the candle is burning or while the wax is still hot. If the flame becomes too large, begins smoking, or mushrooms, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool, trim the wick, and relight.

After Each Burn

Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting. Keep the wax free of wick trimmings, matches, dust, and other debris to ensure a clean burn. Center the wick after extinguishing if it has shifted while the wax is still soft.

When to Stop Burning

Discontinue use when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel. Burning beyond this point may cause the vessel to overheat or become damaged.

Extinguishing Your Candle

For the cleanest experience, extinguish the flame with a candle snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax and straighten it before the wax hardens. Avoid blowing out the flame whenever possible, as it can create smoke and splatter wax.

Reuse Your Vessel

Concrete Vessel

Our candles are 100% soy wax and should be easy to scoop out or simply allow any remaining wax to harden before placing the vessel in the freezer for a few hours. The leftover wax should release easily with gentle pressure. Remove the wick tabs, then wash the vessel with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft cloth or sponge. If there is a waxy residue left over, apply rubbing alcohol to a paper towel to clean and wipe away. Try to avoid the outside of the vessel to prevent possible staining. Allow it to dry completely before repurposing.

Use your vessel as a planter! Our thank you notes are plant-able wildflower paper. Bury the paper shallowly in dirt, water and watch it grow! You could also use the vessels as a catchall for jewelry or keys, a desk organizer, or a decorative accent. Beautifully made to be enjoyed long after the flame is gone.

Glass Jar

Our candles are 100% soy wax and should be easy to scoop out or simply allow any remaining wax to harden before placing the vessel in the freezer for a few hours. The wax should pop out easily, making it simple to remove the wick tabs. Wash the jar with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft sponge, then dry thoroughly before giving it a new purpose. If there is a waxy residue left over, apply rubbing alcohol to a paper towel to clean and wipe away.  Allow it to dry completely before repurposing.

Perfect for storing cotton swabs, bath salts, herbs, office supplies, or displaying fresh flowers, each jar offers a simple way to reduce waste while adding beauty to your home.
